Every December, we make it a point to visit the Karl Edwards bazaar at the NBC Tent. Last year was no exception. We went twice with different people but somehow ended up in Quiznos both times (but I'm not complaining!). We tried this in the States several years back and we were pretty psyched that they're in Manila now.
Quiznos is a self service joint that offers a variety of great tasting subs. The sandwiches come in 3 sizes (5 inches, 8 inches and 11 inches) and 3 types of bread (artisan wheat, italian white and rosemary parmesan). Although we ordered all 3 types of bread on our first visit, I was too preoccupied with the fillings to notice the bread (and we were super hungry too).
The BBQ Chicken Melt was just plain awesome. This sandwich must have been designed for bacon and bbq lovers. Something guys would really enjoy.
BBQ Chicken Melt Small P135; Regular P185; Large 235 all natural chicken, smokey bacon, cheddar, lettuce, bbq sauce |
The Classic Itallian is for meat lovers and those who like vinaigrette salad dressings.
Classic Itallian Small P125; Regular P175; Large 225 capicola, salami, ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, red onion, red wine vinaigrette |
The Traditional was refreshingly good as well. A good mix of meat and veggies.
The Traditional Small P125; Regular P175; Large 225 roast beef, chicken breast, ham, cheddar, black olives, lettuce, tomatoes and ranch |
On our next visit we were all craving for steak so we got different kinds. I liked the French Dip the best because the dipping sauce levelled up the sandwich.
French Dip Small P195; Regular P295; Large 395 steak, all natural mozzarella and onions, mild peppercorn sauce with a side au jus |
Garlic Steak Small P195; Regular P295; Large 395 steak, all natural mozzarella, sauteed onions, garlic aioli |
steak and peppercorn Small P195; Regular P295; Large 395 steak, all natural mozzarella, sauteed onions, mild peppercorn sauce |
Since our subs weren't stuffed with veggies, we got side orders of Caesar Salad Honey Mustard Chicken Salad which was pretty ok.
You can skip the Chicken Noodle Soup and Mushroom Soup as MIL and hubby felt like it was just something out of a can.
Chicken Noodle Soup Mushroom Soup P65 each |
I'm really looking forward to trying the Carbonara Chicken, Meatballs in Marinara Sauce and Pulled Pork with BBQ Sauce or maybe I'll get the French Dip or BBQ Chicken Melt again. Quiznos will be my go to sandwich place with their filling subs and fresh tasting ingredients.
