We were too full from lunch at Crustasia so we skipped dessert. We went window shopping for a couple of hours before we settled in at Secret Recipe for merienda.
They have an assortment of cakes from which you can choose from. It's good that they moved their cake display to the front of the store. You can decide then and there if you would actually go in.
The chocolate lover in me attacked the Chocolate Mud Cake (P95).
The husband got the Marble Cheese (P150) which was light, not too sweet and not too sour.
I'm not a fruit person so I didn't enjoy my tita's Chocolate Banana (P95) even if there were several chocolate layers.
We absolutely loved the Spicy Chicken Cornish (P120) which was bursting with flavor. It wasn't spicy at all though.
The Gourmet Pie (P175) was delish too. The creamy soupy mixture was so good.
We weren't exactly wowed by the cakes but the pies were a whole different story. It's been a long time since we've eaten here and the amazing pies have given me a reason to come back.
