Market Week Philippines was held last September 19-23 at SM Megamall's Megatrade Hall. The event showcased an assortment of products - clothes, jewelry, furniture, home decor, houseware and of course food! - from the different provinces in the Philippines.
My mom went there to scout for Christmas gifts and brought home bottles of Willy Bee Dalandan and Kalamansi concentrate (she gave us some too, which have long been consumed). She showed us her purchases and we didn't need that much convincing to check out the event. Since we were meeting the rest of the family for dinner, we had to prioritize and ended up in the food aisles only.
Hubby loved this ready to eat Crispy Okoy. It was ok but I prefer the regular okoy with the slightly mushy feel. I forgot to take note of the booth where we got it from though. The saleslady told us that if we store it in the ref, we just need to leave it out for 10-15 minutes and it would be crispy again. No need to reheat.
Spice loving hubby couldn't resist bringing home this bottle of Germano's Chili Sauce with Garlic and Olive Oil which sure packs in a lot of heat.
The Crispy Squid Heads were gone in seconds.
There were a lot of other products and booths offering free samples as well. If we weren't pressed for time, we would have lined up for the longganisas. I wonder if Market Week Philippines is a yearly thing, I would love to go back and explore some more.
Looks like a great market, lots of good eats!
