Canterberry Cafe

The best Fried Tofu (P95) I've ever tasted is served in our friends restaurant in Taytay - Canterberry Cafe.  The crispy tofu pieces are best dunked in their sauce which is slightly sweet, salty and sour.... think crispy pata sauce.  I tried recreating the crispy tofu at home but failed miserably.  He still hasn't spilled their secret to us, well I wouldn't either.

Lugang Cafe

We had our flu shots last May and decided to celebrate Mothers Day early since my sister in law's family were going out of town for an office teambuilding.  The first thing I noticed when I stepped into Lugang Cafe were the magnificent chandeliers and the lush seating areas.

Sophie's Mom

Have you noticed this pink and white themed food stall in SM Megamall?  Aren't the pastel colored decorations and trinkets absolutely adorable?

Chili's

We accompanied my sister on a work errand to Power Plant Mall and we ended up having a really late dinner at Chili's.

We loved the Asian flavor of the Crispy Chicken Salad.  A refreshing deviation from the usual creamy dressings and boring old salads.  Even my sister the picky veggie eater loved this.

J.Co Donuts & Coffee

Back in the 90s, my mom used to hand carry boxes of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts from the States.  The only pasalubong I requested for were the sinfully delicious Original Glazed Doughnuts.  I was ecstatic when some genius brought the franchise to Manila.  During its first few months of operations, our ref was almost always stocked with those goodies.

Fast forward to 2012, J.Co Donuts made its way to Manila.  It started in Indonesia and has branches in Malaysia and Singapore.  I didn't need much convincing when my sister suggested we check out their first store in Megamall.
