Midnight to Morning Buffet at Somethin' Fishy

One Saturday morning, we trooped to Somethin' Fishy for their Midnight to Morning Buffet.  It was sort of a despedida for a balikbayan cousin who was flying home that night.

8 Bowls Asian Meal Bar

We purchase most of our grocery requirements at Shopwise every first wednesday of the month because of their 10x rewards points promo.  We usually eat dinner before shopping and we were glad to see another food option last month - 8 Bowls Asian Meal Bar.

Rockets' Sausage Chili Cheese Combo

First wednesdays are the best!  10 times rewards points at Shopwise is the reason why we do the bulk of our grocery shopping there every month.  It's been our strategy to have dinner before anything else.  We noticed that we grab more stuff on an empty or grumbling stomach.

Most months, we would eat at Yang Chow but we have grown tired of the food and service isn't as great anymore.  We've tried Crave Burger and other food stalls as well.  This week was our first time to order from Rockets.

I got the Sausage Chili Cheese Rockets Combo.

Although this doesn't look appetizing, it was pretty good.  The Schublig was juicy and the chili wasn't that spicy.  And I just really enjoy anything with cheese.  The Schublig smelled so good while it was being prepared.  The other sausage options for this P99 meal were the Beer Sausage and Knackwurst which I'm not familiar with.  A small glass of ice tea was included in the combo as well.  I would love to grab dinner again at Rockets next month and try the other sausages, hotdogs or subs.

Dampa sa Libis Restaurant

I love grocery shopping.  I take my sweet time combing all the aisles and picking out stuff from the shelves.  The market, especially the wet market, is a whole different story.  I'm squirmish about the cleanliness and smelliness of the place.  I've probably been to a wet market about a dozen times only and I admit that I have a lot to learn.  Imagine my lack of enthusiasm when my husband took me to the Dampa sa Libis Restaurant.

Sambo Kojin

Have you visited Sambo Kojin lately?  I was at the Eastwood branch last December and noticed that the sushi, sashimi and raw food are now placed in open chillers.

Yang Chow Dimsum & Teahouse

Our monthly grocery run usually ends with a quick meal at Yang Chow.  Service is a hit and miss but prices are very affordable.  No major disappointments on the food but nothing has really made a mark for me except for the Wanton Beef Noodle Soup and Fried Seafood Noodles.

Crave Burger

Always do your grocery shopping on a full stomach.  We noticed that we tend to grab a lot of stuff we don't need when our stomachs are grumbling thus inflating our bill.

Last week, we arrived at Shopwise later than our usual first wedneseday schedule so we decided to have dinner before anything else.  We ordered the Crave Combo #1 (P190), Crave Burger with Skinny Fries and a 12oz drink.

Cookbook Kitchen

If you're looking for something different that's heavy on the stomach but relatively light on the pocket then Cookbook Kitchen is for you.

Our group was composed of 7 adults (although 3 of them had small appetites) who wiped out our appetizers of CBK Italian Toast, Garlic Shrimps and Ciabatta and Balsamic Vinegar with Olive Oil Dip before I could sneak in some food shots.  Then we shared 5 main entrees.

I have never tasted anything like the Pasta Al Adobo.  A unique pasta concoction inspired by the Filipino favorite adobo which is pork or chicken or both cooked in soy sauce and vinegar.  This dish is for pasta lovers who are tired of their usual carbonara or spaghetti in meat sauce.
