Yang Chow Dimsum & Teahouse

Our monthly grocery run usually ends with a quick meal at Yang Chow.  Service is a hit and miss but prices are very affordable.  No major disappointments on the food but nothing has really made a mark for me except for the Wanton Beef Noodle Soup and Fried Seafood Noodles.

The Wanton Beef Noodle Soup (P95) which hubby ordered on one of our visits was full of flavor and heavy on the stomach.  I was able to take a few spoonfuls before he added too much chili sauce for my threshold of spiciness.

The sauce of the Fried Seafood Noodles (P180) tasted like nido soup and the noodles had a crunch to them.  This was refreshingly good after all the rice meals that we order regularly.  The serving was good for sharing.

Here's a rundown of some of the dishes that we have tried in the past months.

The Sweet and Sour Pork Rice  (P120) was filling and very tasty.  The pork was crunchy but a tad sweet for my taste buds.

Mom usually orders the Fish Fillet Beancurd Rice (P130) which I have yet to try.  It always smells heavenly when it comes out of the kitchen.

The Roast Duck Rice (P160) was ok but we didn't care for the sauce.

The Beef Brisket Rice (P120) was tender and I loved the radishes that looked like potatoes.  I always make a beeline for the radishes in sinigang.

The Asparagus with Oyster Sauce (P180) was ordinary.

I wonder what we'll be having next month.
