Domino's Pizza

I grew up in a compound where most of our neighbors were our relatives.  Most summers and weekends were spent with my cousins in each others houses, swimming in 21, playing kickball or dodge ball in the basketball court or plaza or playing other street games which I don't know how to translate in English.  Brownouts were an adventure. We all converged together in number 6 and scared ourselves to death sharing ghost stories or playing cards via candlelight.

We chanced upon the Domino's pizza branch near tiendesitas and it made me reminisce about the good old instant pizza parties at the plaza.  We would bring out our plastic tables and chairs.  The kids could stay out way past curfew because the adults were there too.

This time around hubby and I ordered the Potato Pizza which had mozzarella, onions, mushrooms, sweet corn, potato wedges, bacon and mayonnaise as toppings.  It sounded weird but the combination worked for us.  It was like eating baked potato or mojos with bread.  Can you say carbo loading to the max?

We also got the Extravaganza which had mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, beef, italian sausages and black olives.  Although this one had more stuff on it, we preferred the Potato Pizza since it was something different.  The Extravaganza was pretty plain.

I may not remember what type of pizza we had years ago but I will always remember the company and fun times at the plaza.  I super miss Kawi!
