Breakfasts at Pancake House

We were up and about at sunrise to drive mom to her rendezvous point for her Tagaytay getaway  We skipped breakfast and were already hungry at around 630am.  Good thing the Greenhills branch beside Fitness First was open already.

I love the smell of freshly made pancakes and waffles especially those from Pancake House.  I was pretty satisfied with my order of Bacon Waffles (P170).  It smelled heavenly, the edges were crunchy and the combination of the bacon's saltiness and the syrup and waffle's sweetness was perfect.

Cookbook Kitchen

If you're looking for something different that's heavy on the stomach but relatively light on the pocket then Cookbook Kitchen is for you.

Our group was composed of 7 adults (although 3 of them had small appetites) who wiped out our appetizers of CBK Italian Toast, Garlic Shrimps and Ciabatta and Balsamic Vinegar with Olive Oil Dip before I could sneak in some food shots.  Then we shared 5 main entrees.

I have never tasted anything like the Pasta Al Adobo.  A unique pasta concoction inspired by the Filipino favorite adobo which is pork or chicken or both cooked in soy sauce and vinegar.  This dish is for pasta lovers who are tired of their usual carbonara or spaghetti in meat sauce.

French Baker

Have you ever seen people lining up outside French Baker outlets as early as 8pm for the discounted breads which are sold a few minutes before closing time?  We weren't there for that sale though.  Dinner was our main agenda.

Since we had a late lunch, we opted for sandwiches instead of rice.  We got some Pesto Garlic Sticks (P84/6 pcs) for starters.  I could hardly taste the garlic or the pesto.  It was just butter toast for me.

The Blue Cheese Burger (P190) was juicy but they could have used more blue cheese.

The Clubhouse Sandwich (P190) was heavy and filling but was just ok for me.  I didn't finish my salad as it was on the sweet side.

Sad to say, the highlight of the meal was the crunchy thin potato chips.  Next time we shall stick to our usual orders of chicken ala king or burger steak.

Little Quiapo

The husband wanted to show us one of his lunch options whenever he is in the Bicutan area.  We cruised along Doña Soledad Avenue until we reached Little Quiapo which was right in front of Puregold.  The signage is barely noticeable though and parking can be a drag.  We were lucky that only a motorcycle was parked in front of the resto.

DADS Merienda Buffet

My sister and I skipped lunch one friday and had a very filling merienda at DADS Megamall.
