Borough at the Podium Mall is so close to my parent's place yet I've only been here three times (including this dinner date with my sister).
My sister's Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup was perfect for that stormy night. Imagine very thick slices of bread with ooey gooey hot cheese. Sure you could feel and taste the butter but you will forget about it as everything melts in your mouth. The sandwich in itself was very very delicious but when dipped in the tomato soup, it was even more delicious. Comfort food at it's best.

The combination of the butter, cayenne pepper and parmesan cheese slathered on the Cubano Corn on the Cob was addicting. Getting corn kernels stuck in my teeth was so worth it. My sister kept munching on the corn even if her lips were starting to burn from the spiciness.

I was aiming for something different and couldn't make up my mind so my sister suggested the Cheese-Injected Portobello Pita Pocket. I was too hungry to dissect what was in it, but it was just so good (and messy!) that I didn't want to let go. It was meaty and cheesy and unlike anything I've ever had before. I couldn't believe I was devouring a mushroom!

I would pick everything again in a heartbeat and hopefully squeeze in an order of Mom's Milk & Cookies. I would go on a not so busy night/time as service is pretty slow. Oh and did I mention that they're open 24 hours?

Wow! You are lucky po kasi usually they don't have the Portobello Pita Pocket :( !! I love their grilled cheese and tomato soup!! During cravings, I would drive in the middle of the night just to get their cookies and milk! YUMMY PO! LOL! :D
ReplyDeletewow really! well, i had breakfast there once and come to think of it i did not see the portobello pita pocket in the menu. so i guess not all of their food is available 24/7.
Deletechilled milk and warm cookies are love! :) if i lived close by, i would probably do the same thing.
Good to see that Borough is still open. That grilled cheese and tomato soup looks so good and comforting. You're right, that would be absolutely perfect for a stormy night. Yum! :)
