We tried some store bought pasta sauce a few months ago. I made a few alterations to the Tuna Pesto Linguine recipe at the back of the pack.
- around 250 grams cooked angel hair pasta
- olive oil
- sliced garlic
- 1 can tuna solid in brine, drained
- sliced green olives
- salt
- 1 pack 180 grams Clara Ole Cheesy Pesto Pasta Sauce
- grated parmesan cheese
What I did
- sauteed garlic in olive oil
- stirred in the tuna and olives
- added a pinch of salt
- poured in the sauce
- mixed in the pasta
- transferred to a plate and sprinkled with parmesan cheese
The cheesy pesto goodness made up for the lack of visual appeal. I misread the ingredients and bought green olives instead of black ones. The flavor was not overwhelming and it wasn't too oily.
