Teriyaki Boy

I really love it when our credit cards have great dining deals.  Metrobank has a promo tie up with the Pancake House group.  We opted to dine at Teriyaki Boy and avail of the discount.

We started off with the Miso Soup.
Miso Soup P54
A classic Japanese soup of fermented soy beans served with wakame seaweed and diced silken tofu

I always order California Maki at Japanese restaurants and the Crazy California Roll intrigued me.  The combination worked well and the dipping sauce was flavorful but I would still stick to the regular California Maki.  I could hardly taste the crabstick in this one.
Crazy California Roll P191
A crazy twist on the old time favorite. Crabstick combined with fresh mango, fresh watermelon & crispy iceberg lettuce rolled in orange and green fish roe, accompanied by deep fried leeks for a savoury kick

The Katsudon was average.
Katsudon P175
Breaded pork cutlet, deep fried and simmered in sweet soy sauce, onions and leeks, with beaten egg, topped on a bed of steamed Japanese rice

The Teriyaki Boy Chicken Ju was ordinary.
Teriyaki Boy Chicken Ju P214
Our signature grilled Teriyaki Boy Chicken, with sweet and savoury teriyaki sauce, topped on steamed Japanese rice, and served in our special Ju Box

We were very full after devouring everything but our Japanese cravings weren't satisfied.  Good thing our food was discounted.
