Le Delice Deli Shop and Restaurant

My sister in law and her family moved from their cozy condo unit to a more spacious house a few months ago.  Before they settled in, we drove down south to check out which things needed to be repaired, painted, cleaned etc.  After the inspection, our grumbling stomachs led us to their clubhouse where we stumbled upon Le Delice.  It's a mini convenience store, deli shop and restaurant rolled into one.  The owner of Santi's runs this place according to my brother in law.

Freezers and chillers with ice cream, soda, beer, milk and more line the walls together with shelves of cookies, candies, cereal and even dried mangoes.

Sausages, chorizo, bacon, chicken nuggets and puff pastry are available here.

Pastrami, pork loin, chorizo and more sausages and cold cuts are displayed at the counter.

Check out all the different kinds of cheese - brie, gruyere, camembert, parmesan, mozzarella etc.

The pastel themed dining area has a homey feel.

Our table had a great view of the pool.

And now for the food.  They have so many options - pizza, pasta, sandwiches, grilled sausages, quiches and salads.  Some of the entrees are chicken biryani, bulgogi, beef rendang, tempura, beef goulash, chili con carne, chicken-pork adobo and fried tilapia.

Since I've been watching Junior Master Chef lately, I wanted to try the chicken schnitzel (P220).  The chicken was full of flavor and could go without the sauce that tasted like bottled sweet chili sauce.  The vegetables were crisp and seasoned well.

The hubby ordered beef stroganoff (P250) and requested to change his potato to rice.  Imagine his disappointment when our potato orders turned out to be potato wedges.  He absolutely loves french fries so he kept sneaking bites from my plate.

My sister in law's beef stroganoff with potatoes (P250)

My mother in law's fish n chips (P220). I would love to order this next time.

My brother in law's chicken teriyaki (P220).

An extra order of shrimp gambas (P220).  This was the first time I was served gambas with heads and tails attached.

Our cutie one year old niece had some soup.  Her eyes were glued to the tv while eating in the high chair that the servers provided for her.

After stuffing ourselves, I went around the pantry.  I love grocery shopping so of course I couldn't help but window shop.

Some interesting finds include, bottled laing (taro leaves in coco cream) - traditional, w/ tuna flakes and all veggie; spicy ginataang puso ng saging (banana blossoms in coco cream); and mild hot and spicy tinuktok (minced young coconut meat w/ shrimp braised in coco cream)

Different kinds of vinegar and olive oil, a bottle of gourmet pickles quail eggs (good thing the hubby didn't see the quail eggs), pickled sweet chili, pickled indian mango, pickled shallots, pickled bittergourd, pickled young papaya, pitted black and green olives

Instant rice meals - pinoy beef steak, pork adobo and seafood superb

Bangus in olive oil, bangus pate (milk fish pate), spanish sardines in olive oil, pesto, sun-dried tomato pesto, pesto sauce, pepperoncini

The pantry was also stocked with wine, juice, cooking oil, steak seasoning, mustard, tea, hot sauce, jam, canned goods, seasonings and a whole lot more.

Needless to say, i was one happy camper after this visit.  It looks like I'll be coming back for more food and more window shopping.  Unless we get too lazy and just have the food delivered.
