Carmencita Spanish Paella Fish and Seafood Flavor

My first try at Paella turned out ok but sure could use a lot of improvement.

What I used
  • olive oil
  • around 2 cups of uncooked rice
  • a 45 gram pack of Carmencita Spanish Paella Fish and Seafood Flavor
  • about 1 liter of warm water
  • green bell peppers, cored, seeded and sliced into strips
  • hard boiled eggs, peeled and sliced

What I did
  • heated the oil and sauteed the rice for a few minutes under low fire
  • mixed in the Spanish Paella flavoring
  • added the water and let it boil
  • turned off the heat when the rice was cooked
  • garnished with bell peppers and eggs

I found it weird that the paella was brown in color but the picture on the seasoning mix showed yellow rice.  The seafood flavor was pretty strong and you could smell it from our front door.
