Chopsuey

Another chopsuey version minus the meat.

What I used
  • oil
  • carrot, peeled and sliced up
  • chicharo, ends snapped off
  • 1 can Jolly whole young corn, sliced in half, liquid reserved
  • onion, peeled and quartered
  • bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into triangles
  • 1 Knorr chicken seasoning cube dissolved in hot water
  • oyster sauce
  • cornstarch
  • pepper
  • sesame oil


What I did
  • stir fried the carrot and chicharo in a little oil
  • added the young corn
  • poured in the chicken stock and added oyster sauce and cornstarch
  • seasoned with pepper and liquid from canned corn
  • added the onions and bell peppers once the sauce thickened
  • drizzled sesame oil before serving
