Do these look somewhat familiar? Nope they're not from that Forest Gump themed restaurant Bubba Gump. Cute idea, same concept though - flip it over to the Stop sign when you need something and keep it on the Moo-oove sign when you don't.
We were at Sizzlin' Pepper Steak twice last month where we sampled several dishes. Most of their food are served partially cooked on patented sizzling plates. You finish up the cooking process by turning over the meat, pouring in the sauce and mixing things up.
My favorite was the Chicken Pepper Rice. I loved the combination of the chicken, bell peppers and onions together with the flavorful sauce.

I really enjoyed the soft beef from the Beef Pepper Rice. I prefer the peppery taste of Pepper Lunch's Beef Pepper Rice but I appreciate that there is more meat in the version of Sizzlin' Pepper Steak.

The Bay Calamari was good and not too oily.
Bay Calamari P298 beer battered squid rings deep fried, served with a lemon wedge and our very own dippy tartare dream sauce. |
Other dishes on the table were the Mushroom Gravy Hamburg and Peppered Chicken Steak. Sadly, that one bite off mom and hubby's plates didn't make a mark on me.

Peppered Chicken Steak P196 pepper encrusted chicken seared for delicious crispy skin and juicy meat. served with vegetables. |
Sizzlin' Pepper Steaks selections are promising but this won't stop me from visitng Pepper Lunch too.
