Meatless Friday at Tiendesitas

We have been trying our best to abstain from meat on Fridays for this Lenten season.  Last week, we had McDonalds' Fillet o Fish sandwich for lunch and were already hungry even before our usual 7pm dinner time.  We found ourselves at Tiendesitas and ended up ordering from Claire Dela Fuente Barbeque and Grill.

The spicy Kilawin was really good and addicting.  I used the vinegar for the crunchy Dilis as well.  I didn't care much for the Okoy which was dry and needed seasoning.  Imagine all these for just P350.
Dilis P80, Kilawin P150, Okoy P60 and Plain Rice P20 each

We walked around some more in search for something sweet.  We had Blueberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake and coffee from Hacienda Sizzling Delights and Coffee Shop.

Both desserts were light and not too sweet.  The chocolate cake was moist.

The Malay Balay coffee smelled so good and tasted great too.  You could buy a pack of coffee beans to bring home with you or you could ask them to grind them for your coffee maker.  We were tempted to buy a pack but didn't.  We're not really coffee drinkers and we're happy with the 3 in 1 sachets we have at home.
Malay Balay coffee P25 per cup, I think the coffee beans/coffee grounds were around P150 per pack

We went home with satisfied smiles on our faces and full tummies.  If it weren't for meatless fridays, I would have beelined for barbecue or vigan empanada.
